A new study conducted by money.co.uk has found the healthiest cities in the World, the experts evaluated every city based on various factors. Data is collected and checked according to the life expectancy of people, financial cost on health, air pollution, obesity rates, crime rate as well as the sunlight hours to determine which one offers the most wholesome lifestyle.
The study, however, did not take into account COVID-19-related cases.
Spain was ranked as the healthiest country in the world. One of the factors was the Mediterranean diet which is rich in omega-3, fats, and protein. In addition, it’s social meal times and walking as a mode of transportation.
On the other side of the spectrum, the US was ranked among the least healthy countries on earth. The country’s obesity ratings rank it in 153rd place out of 166 nations, which reduces the average life expectancy.
The most prevalent difference between countries like Spain and Japan to the US is the relationship towards food,” the study says. Many of the healthiest countries on our list have more respect for food. In addition, treat meal times as an opportunity to build a more social and welcoming environment.
