1. Athirappilly Falls – Top in Unexplored Tourist Places of South India
Athirappilly Falls are located in Thrissur District, Kerela. It is situated at Athirapilly Panchayat of Chalakudy Taluk . Also, it is very near to the well-known waterfall of Vazhachal Falls. Not only this, A small drive from Athirapally and the Vazhachal waterfall, we can enjoy sight of dense forests full of greenery. This forest is habitat to many dangerous and common kind of flora and fauna. Athirapally stands on elevation of 390 feet and a height of about 82 feet.
Athirappilly Water Falls is the Largest Waterfall of Kerela. It is also refered as the Niagara Fall of India. That’s why it comes to top in our list of Unexplored Tourist Places of South India.

2. Lambasingi
Lambasingi is a hill station, also known as Lammasingi. It is a small village of Chintapalli Mandal in Vishakapatnam District of Andhra Pradesh. Here temperatures go down to 0 Degrees in month of December to January which makes it very special. Village is situated 1000m above the sea level. Lambasingi’s another name is Korra Bayalu, which means “if someone stays out in the open at night, by morning they would freeze like a stick!”
This small village is covered with a delicate white mist that moves with the breeze throughout the year.
Lambasingi is the only place of South India where Snowfall also happens. The time for snowfall at this place is not predicted, however it has been observed a handfull of time in last few years. It is referred as Kashmir of Andhra Pradesh. Owing to its beauty, it is second in our list of Unexplored Tourist Places of South India.

3. Skandagiri Hills
Third in our List of Unexplored Tourist Places of South India is Skandagiri Hills. They are also known as Kalavara Durga. It is a very old Mountain fortress situated 3 km from Chikaballapur and almost 70 km from Bangalore City. The peak is at an height around 1350 meters. It is located off Bellary Road (National Highway 7 Hyderabad-Bangalore Highway). Skandagiri Hills dominate other two hills that is Nandi Hills and Muddenahalli.
Due to some official reasons, the tourist spot was been closed in year 2016 by the forest department for public.
How to Reach
Skandagiri can be reached by both bus and train till Chikballapur. Papagni is the temple in Kalawara village which is the starting point of trek. The trekking takes around 2.5 to 3 hrs from the Papagni Mutt. Papagni Temple is at 3 kms distance from Chikaballapur.

4. Gandikota
Gadikota is one of the famous forts in the country. It is referred as The Grand Canyon of India. It is a small village situated on the right bank of River Pennar which is nearly 15 km away from Jammalamadugu, Kadapa District of Andhra Pradesh.
Visiting here is like experiencing something exciting , but only thing here is lack of transportation inside the place. This is good to some extent. If you are Nature lover and want a peaceful time to enjoy, then Gandikota is a must visit place for you. It is 4th in our List of Unexplored Tourist Places of South India.

Maravanthe Beach
5th in our list of Unexplored Tourist Places of South India is Maravanthe Beach. As a fact, Maravanthe is a village which is having beach near Kundapura Taluk in Udupi district of Karnataka. It is around 55 kms from Udupi. NH-66 (erstwhile NH-17) runs in between the beach and the River Suparnika which flows on the other side of the road creating a fabulous sight. The view is considered the only one of its kind in India.
This is a beach which is different from usual one and completely worth to explore. People who really search for peace and full relax should definitely visit. It is declared as one of the cleanest beaches in the country.
Only thing, we recommend strictly not to visit during the monsoon. Due to high tide it is very dangerous to visit at that time. Staying at nearest town Kundapura would be a best option. One can enjoy fishing with the locals at Gangoli port here.
